More and more schools (brown included) are now in the business of "lifetime credentials". Admittedly there are crass business reasons for this ("Brown's relationship with you will continue thru probate"). But, there are also other reasons (eg ordering transcripts).

My big worry with this plan, tho, derives from my experience with FAFSA forms while my daughter was an undergraduate. The forms required lots of financial info from the parents. Since this email is in writing... and someone has already stated under penalty that she filled out the forms... I'm not going to say that I was involved in that process....

but I can certainly imagine that there are lots of situations where the parents completely handle the forms and sign on behalf of their child ... however, if a federated login is needed in order to access the forms, will those credentials really retain their associated LOA ?
