Ok, so now as we are migrating to new production, I need to change only URL
to below, right?

Do we need to get new certificate? If yes, where to get that?

Right, so I think I need to modify the language in the documentation where it
talks about "supported" since we're really concerned about "supported in the
sense of the metadata migration process." Scott, can you make any general
comments along these lines? If so, I'll go change the documentation to
reflect that.
