InCommon Student Folks,
On our last call, we discussed assembling our federated identity
management suggestions for SunGard as a follow up to Nancy's contact
with them.
As part of this, I was to send out a list of security issues that Joy
Hughes, the CIO of George Mason, assembled and used in her discussions
with SunGard. We were then to add our comments to this document and use
it as a basis for our communications with the company with the goal of
reinforcing the previous work and providing a consistent higher-ed
approach.
I've attached this doc so you will have a chance to take a look at it
before our next call on Friday Sept 21. Here is Joy's explanation of the
three files:
"I've attached a copy of the draft article I shared with Jack Kramer of
SunGard, a copy of the checklist and a copy of the list of items drawn
from the checklist that higher education security professionals
identified as "deal killers." That is, if their institution asked them
to certify an ERP system as "secure enough to purchase", these deal
killers would cause them to say "no" to the purchase."
Thanks,
Ann
