I have a question about port numbers in IdP metadata. Typically
front-channel endpoints run on port 443 (implicitly) while
back-channel endpoints run on port 8443 (explicitly). Suppose an IdP
consistently runs its front channel endpoints on 8443 (with no
back-channel endpoints).
Other than being completely atypical, is there a good reason not to do this?
Thanks,
Tom
