This Week at CSP November 9, 2022

Important Now

At Office Hours this week, we will start with your questions and then progress to our FINAL(!) DevOps study group. (All are welcome!)

What you should be thinking about right now:

• CSP PRESS RELEASE: Keep an eye out for a link from Apryl Motley about to review a press release about YOU!!

• WORKBENCH: Your workbench server is available for your use. The server names were shared with your team’s CSP lead. Resources and the recording from the office hours presentation about the workbench can be found in Canvas.

• OFFICE HOURS: Office hours are every week starting at 12:30 ET | 9:30 PT.

• COMPONENT TRAINING: If you are registering for classes, please check with your institution’s CSP lead about the 8 limited registration codes/institution.

• ON DEMAND RESOURCES: There are lots of resources that are available to you. We have made a list of several in the “Useful Links” section below.

• SELF-PACED WORK: Continue with self-paced work. See the Upcoming Dates section for details.

• DEEP DIVES: Each institution will be doing a “deep dive” presentation about their CSP project. See when you are presenting. Presentation tips are in Canvas.

Nov 15-18 - Grouper School Training  - If you haven’t yet registered for Grouper School, it is too late for this session. Additional workshops will be offered in the Spring.

Nov 17 - Office Hours + LAB (90 min) (12:30 ET | 12:00 PT) - We will be hearing our next Deep Dives with UNB. Also a past participant will share their use case (TBD).

Nov 22 - 30 - Self-Paced Work: Authentication Background - Review the BaseCAMP recording and slides for Authentication 101 before our next Office Hours. You will need to be registered for access to BaseCAMP materials - if needed, Register at no charge with this csp2023-only code: a58f9f

Nov 24 - THANKSGIVING (US) (No Office Hours)

Nov 28 - Dec 2 - Shibboleth Training  - Please coordinate with your team’s CSP lead for discount codes. REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Nov 25

Dec 1 - Office Hours + LAB (90 min) (12:30 ET | 12:00 PT) - We will be hearing our next Deep Dives with Winston-Salem. Also a past participant will share their use case (TBD).

Dec 5-9 - TechEx | CAMP Week (Denver, CO) - If you are going in person to TechEx Dec 5-9 in Denver, CO, please check with your institution’s CSP lead about the 2 limited registration codes/institution.

Deep dives are halfway done - are you getting what you need from the program? Time to start gathering a list of what cohort-generated topics we should cover. We also will follow up on our discussion about the CIO/Executive sessions planned for January.
