Thinking about building an identity trust federation, but don't know who
should be involved or how to start? Looking for a good case study to learn
more about and use as a starting point?
If your answer is yes, learn more about the upcoming US Trust Federations
meeting on June 23 in Raleigh North Carolina
(https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/czc). The agenda features a case study of NC
Trust, the state-wide identity trust federation in North Carolina that
includes higher education, education service providers, state Department of
Public Instruction, and MCNC, the regional network provider for NC education.
The North Carolina case study will be followed by a panel discussion on
lessons learned from other state and collaborative federations already in
process.
Want even more detail about operating within a federation? Consider coming to
the CAMP: Exploring and Supporting Federated Access held prior to the US Feds
Meeting on June 21-23. Additionally, the Advance CAMP: The Second Identity
Services Summit held June 23-25 will offer open source developers a chance to
work on aligning approaches to managing identity to reduce coding burden and
campus implementation complexity. Both meetings will be held in the same
hotel as the US Trust Federations Meeting. Information for CAMP and Advance
CAMP is available at www.incommon.org/camp
