Good evening from trust and identity land! Get your collaboration hat on for tomorrow at Global Summit (Thursday, March 7)! We have two excellent sessions on tap that are all about collaboration and collaboration readiness, particularly in support of scholarship and research.

Getting Global Collaboration Ready: International Community Practices to Improve Trust and Interoperability for Research” (8:45 - 10:00 am in the Liberty Ballroom) features a panel discussion about ways the community has worked at improving trust and the user experience for people using federated services in support of global research and education. Find out what has been happening and what you need to know to make effective use of these programs and initiatives.

The other collaboration session starts at 1:15 pm in the Archives Room. “CILogon and eduTEAMS: Collaboration and Virtual Organizations Made Easy” includes CILogon’s new service offering a hosted federation identity and collaboration management platform. Also in this session, you’ll hear about GÉANT’s eduTEAMS service, which provides a central point for communities to manage user membership and access rights.

In addition to those sessions, the other Trust and Identity track session on Thursday is “Trust & Identity for Healthcare Research in GCP.” Come to the Capitol Room at 10:30 am to learn about a partnership between Google and the National Institutes of Health to develop an Identity and Access Management policy for securely leveraging the NIH Data Commons using the Google Cloud Platform.

Also, don’t forget to drop by the Pentagon Room anytime between 9 am and 4 pm and learn about “Getting Started with InCommon Services and Software.” It is an informal way to learn more about InCommon, the InCommon Federation, the InCommon Trusted Access Platform (formerly TIER software), the InCommon Certificate Service, or eduroam global roaming wireless.

Enjoy your Thursday!
