Dear eduGAIN Steering Group Colleagues

Given that quite a few new federations joined eduGAIN in the past
months, I would like to make you once again aware of a few very useful
eduGAIN tools that you may not know about yet:

* eduGAIN Entities Database (EED)
  http://technical.edugain.org/entities/
  Ever wanted to get a list of all SPs or IdPs in eduGAIN or look
  up metadata of a particular entity, and then get a CSV file?
  Very useful for debugging metadata problems.

* eduGAIN IsFederated Check (EIFC)
  https://technical.edugain.org/isFederatedCheck/
  Let's you find out which organisations are federated
  and in eduGAIN yet. Also has the most complete list of
  organisations in eduGAIN including organisations in H&S federations.
  On top you can see the eduGAIN coverage of all production federations
  on https://technical.edugain.org/isFederatedCheck/Federations/

* eduGAIN Connectivity Check (ECC)
  https://technical.edugain.org/eccs/
  Automatically checks all IdPs in eduGAIN if they are properly
  "connected" to eduGAIN by initiating a login once a day and
  publishing the results. Also see my previous mail on zombie IdPs :-)

* eduGAIN Access Check (EAC), beta
  https://access-check.edugain.org/
  Let's an SP administrator perform logins to his own
  service with a range of test identities with different attributes
  profiles (e.g. staff, student, researcher, with umlauts, etc.).

* eduGAIN Metadata Validator (EMV)
  https://validator.edugain.org/
  Check and validate metadata using the eduGAIN Metadata profile rules
  and recommendations as well as some good practice rulesets.

* eduGAIN Code of Conduct Monitor (ECOCM)
  http://monitor.edugain.org/coco/
  Shows the status of all SPs that carry the GÉANT Data Protection
  Code of Conduct entity category. Also sends emails to admins in case
  their SP violates one of the CoCo rules.

* eduGAIN Database Access API (EDAA)
  https://technical.edugain.org/api.php
  Comprehensive REST/JSON API to query the eduGAIN Entities Database.
  Used by several of the above tools as basis. Requires an API key for
  some operations.

* eduGAIN Attribute Release Check (EARC), beta
  https://release-check.edugain.org/
  Test how well your IdP releases attributes, not too few and not
  too many. Also takes into account Research&Scholarship and
  Code of Conduct support.
