All,

Our next InC Student call is tomorrow, Friday Feb 19 at 3:00 pm ET.

Summary: In our last discussion, we decided to pursue developing
recommendations for credentialing practices for remote students. To
get us started, we plan to develop and offer a survey to the AACRAO
and EDUCAUSE/Internet2/InCommon communities. Keith and Renee also
offered to send pracitices in use by other sectors to help us not
reinvent the wheel.

The goal of the call tomorrow is to review and discuss the first draft
of the survey outline and discuss next steps for refinement,
development, and distribution.

Action Items from Feb 5, 2010

(AI) Keith, Brendan, Renee, Andrea will touch base with their
respective registrars/student services people to determine what the
issues might be.

(AI) Rodney will distribute a PDF of the result - "Best Practice
Strategies to Promote Academic Integrity in Online Education."
(already done)

(AI) Renee will distribute a document containing the account
provisioning and password reset processes for three banks and one
online trading company. (already done)

(AI) Mark S., Louis and Ann volunteered to draft an outline for the
survey.

(AI) Keith will keep doing the research he's been doing - looking at
opportunities or methods that other industries/organizations using
related to identity proofing.
