InCommon Operations will be releasing an updated version of the InCommon Federation Manager, v5.3.0 on Tuesday 9/22. This release contains a few bug fixes and most notably adds functionality that will prepend the string ‘mailto:’ to all email contact values in an entity when that entity is submitted for publication. 

 

While contact information will only change when a Site Administrator submits an entity, in the near future the Federation Manager will do a bulk update of all entities that are not in an editing state which will result in the ‘mailto:’ string becoming prepended to all contacts in the entity record. Advanced notice of the bulk change will be communicated.
