Version 6.1 of the InCommon Metadata Aggregator (an instance of the 
Shibboleth Metadata Aggregator software) will be deployed in production on 
Thursday, May 25, 2017. This version of the InCommon MDA explicitly orders 
the entities imported from eduGAIN to help protect from the effects of a 
reordering of entities in the eduGAIN aggregate upstream. (Recall that 
InCommon Operations experienced issues with its metadata signing process when 
the eduGAIN aggregate was reordered on March 10, 2017.) 

It is important to note that the content of the InCommon metadata aggregate 
will NOT change as a result of the upgrade on May 25, but the entries will 
appear in a different order.  The diff produced on May 25 will be very large, 
but after that date a consistent ordering will be applied daily, at the time 
eduGAIN metadata is incorporated into the InCommon aggregate. This will 
stabilize production of the metadata diff. [1,2]
