Can we say something about what it does rather than being important? E.g., 

“Reliable attribute sharing among federation participants makes research collaboration easy to set up and maintain" 

“Reliable attribute sharing among federation participants makes application integration easy." 

“Reliable attribute sharing among federation participants reduces the overhead work for research collaborations."
