The InCommon Academy has an action-packed lineup for the fall.  We’ll be starting off kicking off the fourth offering of the Collaboration Success Program (CSP) and quickly transition to our virtual training sessions for each of the four InCommon Trusted Access Components (8 seats are included in the CSP!).  We’ll round out the year with CAMP Week, completing a learning and networking paradise for our friends in Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Training Opportunities

The software training workshops are developed by community members and taught by the software developers and implementers. Each takes place half days over the course of a week and cover installing, configuring, and getting started. Training sessions are a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning, ensuring you get the engagement and help you need. For more information about each training session, and to register, please use the links to the appropriate software component below. Here’s the schedule for the first half of 2021. We’ll announce the fall lineup later this spring.

  • September 28 – October 1, 2021 - Grouper
Grouper offers management of institutional and personal groups, roles, and permissions for use by project managers, departments, institutions, and end users.
  • October 18 – 21, 2021 - COmanage
COmanage is an identity registry with flexible enrollment and lifecycle management capabilities. It can be used as a central person registry, a guest management system, or a collaboration hub for scholarly collaborations.
  • November 15 – 19, 2021 - Shibboleth
Shibboleth provides single sign-on capabilities for local, distributed, and cloud services
  • December 7 - 10, 2021 - midPoint
midPoint, powered by Evolveum, is a general-purpose identity management and governance system that can synchronize and reconcile among multiple systems of record and sources of identity, as well as provision and deprovision user accounts and groups into services.

Go CAMPing

The annual CAMP and ACAMP meetings will take place the week of October 4. CAMP will again include track sessions based on community proposals, and ACAMP is our annual unconference that helps move the global trust and identity activities forward.

Collaborate your way to (Project) Success

Now that you’ve gotten some InCommon exposure, consider joining the Collaboration Success Program (CSP). The CSP provides an opportunity to join forces with peer organizations and community experts to prepare, prototype and put your IAM projects in motion.

A few of the program perks include:

  • Access to InCommon community gatherings
  • Subscription bundle to training and events
  • Priority access to developers and experts, providing tailored recommendations for your projects

This nine-month program will kick off in
mid-September. If you’re interested in learning more about the program, please let us know ASAP – this is the final call!
