tl;dr

Sufficient votes have been received for Morocco/eduIDM.ma
<http://eduIDM.ma> and Mozambique/CAFMoz to become members of eduGAIN.
They are members 58 and 59 respectively.
The vote is still proceeding and won’t officially close until Friday 3rd
August 2018.


Longer version:

I'm pleased to welcome Morocco/eduIDM.ma <http://eduIDM.ma> and
Mozambique/CAFMoz as the 58th and 59th members of eduGAIN.

I'll instruct the OT to make the necessary arrangements to update the
status page https://technical.edugain.org/status.php and liaise with the
federations on supporting their participation in eduGAIN.

The vote is still open until the deadline of Friday, 3rd of August, but
the decision cannot be altered. Federations can cast their vote
to retain or regain their voting right.

Additionally, the deputies + delegates from have been added to the
eduGAIN-SG mailing list.

Thanks to the work of all Steering Group members in voting, assessing
the federations and providing them feedback and the work of our newest
member in working toward participating in eduGAIN.

The summary so far is:
 * 32 votes cast
 * 28 in the affirmative
 *   1 from an excluded voter
 *   4 abstain (or cast to regain their voting right)
 *   2 federations (AFIRE, Tuakiri) would regain their voting right.
 *   5 federations (COLFIRE, RCTSaai, ArnesAAI, SIR and AAIEduMk) would
remain on the excluded list.
 *   8 federations (Haka, Edugate, IUCC Id Fed, MATE, Oman KID, YETKIM,
ARNaai, BIF) might join the excluded list.

I’ll send a final update and update the wiki after voting has closed.
