Hi Folks,
As many of you are aware, the TSG and T&I have been developing an
instance of COmanage for deployment as an enhancement to our existing
collaboration tools. The initial release of this environment will go to
production on Monday August 6th. This initial deployment will be most
visible to users of spaces.internet2.edu <http://spaces.internet2.edu>,
the Internet2 wiki. Kicking off this effort will begin with a
communications campaign starting tomorrow and we wanted to make you
aware of this activity. 

Users of the Internet2 wiki (spaces.internet2.edu
<http://spaces.internet2.edu>) will receive the following message on
Tuesday, July 17. It describes the transition of the wiki as part of a
broader project to deploy a collaboration platform. Since many staff
members use the wiki, please read this material. We are emailing as many
wiki users as we can and also distributing this via community discussion
lists (such a

 Feel free to forward the message to
any working groups or spaces.internet2.edu <http://spaces.internet2.edu>
users with which you are involved.

The wiki transition is the culmination of more than a year’s work to
integrate the wiki with two TIER software components - COmanage and
Grouper - and leveraging the InCommon Federation. We’ll have more
information about using the platform after the wiki transition.

This is part of a project to build a new Internet2 Collaboration
Platform, which will use a new identity and access management system. If
your Identity Provider supports the Research & Scholarship (R&S)
category, your transition will be seamless and you need take no action
at this time.

We will migrate as many accounts as possible. If your record includes
complete information (first and last name, email, eduPerson Principal
Name), your information and permissions should transition without
problem. If your record is incomplete, you will need to register with
the new platform after August 6 and will be redirected to an enrollment
page the first time you log in.

For Identity Provider Operators: If you are releasing the R&S attributes
(as noted above), you need take no action. If not, you will likely need
to adjust your attribute release policy to release attributes to the new
wiki: spaces.at.internet2.edu <http://spaces.at.internet2.edu>. You’ll

For those who access and/or edit content:All of the current content will
be ported to the new location. There will be an edit freeze Friday,
August 3, through Monday, August 6. There is more information about the
transition, including registering and accessing the new space, at

group chairs and others to manage resources and permissions. We’re using
