Hi, all,
This note is being sent to Refeds and the new InCommon Technical Discuss 
mailing list. Apologies to those who are receiving it twice.

The identifiers profile that came out of the work of the InCommon deployment 
Profile working group it now open for public comment. Please provide any 
feedback you might have before December 12 using the link included in the 
below announcement from OASIS. This is the profile that was previously 
discussed on these lists and at Technology Exchange last month.

OASIS and the OASIS Security Services (SAML) TC are pleased to announce that 
SAML V2.0 Subject Identifier Attributes Profile Version 1.0 is now available 
for public review and comment. 

The specification standardizes two new SAML Attributes to identify security 
subjects, as a replacement for long-standing inconsistent practice with the 
<saml:NameID> and <saml:Attribute> constructs. It also addresses recognized 
deficiencies with the SAML persistent NameID format.

The public review starts 14 November 2017 at 00:00 UTC and ends 12 December 
2017 at 23:59 UTC. 

Comments may be submitted to the TC by any person through the use of the
