I don't imagine there's much we can do about it, but if there is something
I'm all ears. Perhaps we could create some sort of sanity check during
upgrades, but I think we'd have to get people to input a "known good" value
and then be able to check that the same value gets produced. I don't know how
much good that would do. It seems like that level of care would only hit the
audience of people who would get it right to start with, or shortly after,
anyway.
Maybe it's something InCommon could offer, e.g. a test SP that could accept
and display the V2 result and then give people a check of their V3 value to
ensure they didn't overlook it. A sort of checklist during upgrades.
