I’m writing to provide a quick update on the issue Joao raised in the message 
below.

After investigating further, we discovered a bug in the Federation Manager 
which could cause some updated entities to appear in the metadata approval 
and publication queue _before_ the site admin submitted the entities for 
approval. We’ve deployed a patch for this issue in production, and we’ll 
continue to monitor for any related issues.

As we continue to automate more of the build/deploy/test process, it will 
help us to better detect and fix bugs like this in the future.

    I have recently updated (but not published) the metadata of our IdP and 
SPs int the Federation Manager, and a few hours later they were published, 
without me first authorizing it (ie. I did not "submit changes"), and in the 
interface it still shows a  status
     of "update", rather than "published"
