Hi All,

I had a meeting with John Krienke and Steven Carmody this morning.
It looks as though the time is ripe to try to move forward on
having InCommon sign the declaration to join eduGAIN. Part of 
moving that forward will be a recommendation from us, the Interfed 
subcommittee, along with supporting documentation from our review
of the policy framework. N.B. that we are only talking about 
signing the declaration at this point - there are many 
implementation details that will still need to be sorted out, 
and we will not be addressing those at this time. The only action
is on the table right now is signing the declaration with the 
implementation issues to be addressed at a later date.

If you have not had a look at our notes from the review, please
take a look at them - I have condensed them, along with the comments

At our Wednesday telecon this week (I will circulate a reminder with
the relevant contact info tomorrow) we will discuss why we want
to move on this now and whether the notes and recommendations in
the linked document reflect the consensus view of the subcommittee.
