Subject: [commit-steering] CommIT Pilot - Privacy and Security Call

The next scheduled call to discuss CommIT Privacy and Security is scheduled for August 12^th at 11:00am Eastern. 

 

I will begin the call with an update on the project status and then we will pick up on the discussion that we started on our last call about operational and technical concerns that the community feels need to be considered for the CommIT pilot from a privacy and security perspective.  The list of items that we created on our last call were as follows:

·         How long will records remain in the CPR? What is the purging process?

·         What is CommIT’s process for maintenance of data?  How can the user or others update the information that is contained in the CPR?

·         What are the Terms of Service for CommIT?

·         What is CommIT’s Privacy Policy?

·         Will credentials be used for other onboarding processes other than the admissions application? 

·         What are the US and Global privacy requirements?

 

One of the follow ups from our last call was to collect Privacy Policy and Terms of Service examples.  The attached document contains what I have received thus far.  If your institution has something to share, please email it to me in advance of the call.
