InCommon Federation Discussions About Online Student Services

Dear Colleagues,

Today was scheduled to be our next ICommIT update for the InCommon Student collaboration group, but given how close we are to releasing a call for participation in the CommIT pilot, we thought we'd postpone until (tentatively) August 9th. 

For those of you who did not attend the AACRAO Tech meeting last week, I've included a quick summary of the project status:

• We'll be opening up a call for participation in August and September and inviting schools to sign up to pilot CommIT. Those participating in this early phase will be able to guide the development of the final production service. 
• We've developed an introduction-to-the pilot materials package including background information, benefits and expectations, and MOU. If there is information you'd like to have included, please let me know. 

We look forward to kicking off this exciting pilot and working with you on refining the service!
