Hi all,
Apologies for cross-posting.
During a conversation yesterday with a CommIT participant it occurred to
me that it is possible that not everyone is aware of the upcoming CommIT
Face to Face meetings.
CommIT originally came out of the Electronic Authorization and
Authentication working group (EA2) at the 2011 Spring Postsecondary
Electronic Standards Council (PESC) Data Summit, and all regularly
scheduled face to face CommIT meetings are being held at PESC
semi-annual events. Last Fall's session was very well attended, and
served as a springboard for increased participation.
The Spring meeting is at the fabulous Wynn hotel in Las Vegas May 2-4,
2012. During this meeting, the CommIT team will be presenting to the
entire membership, and there will be meetings of the technical,
business, and education/policy groups, as well as a combined meeting of
all participants. There are also other agenda items of interest to
education professionals, excellent keynote and guest speakers, and an
excellent opportunity for networking.
You can register at the PESC site: www.pesc.org. While you're there,
take a closer look and strongly consider joining this important group.
PESC is taking on the difficult work of creating and publishing
standards that are being adopted across education.
