CommIT and NSTIC
The CommIT project is going to be submitting a proposal to the NSTIC federal
funding opportunity http://www.nist.gov/nstic/index.html and are interested
in getting campus support for the proposal either as a funded pilot school or
in a letter of support. The final proposal is due April 23. We'll talk
further about this as it takes shape.

Scenarios
https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/InCCollaborate/CommIT+Collaborative+Scenarios

#2 Post-Application data request: Test Scores - This story is same as #1
except the test scores are requested after the prospect finishes the
application.

Q: Can we do a realtime search match and find an SAT search score? Will we
have enough information.
A: If had scores already on file, should have matched to the CommIT
identified they start the applications. When the prospect hits submit, we
could make a call into the student system for scores and tell them that we
don't.

#3 Financial Aid Process - This looks like a nice Meteor Use case with CommIT
credential as the glue.

Q: Could Eric have attended different undergrad and grad institutions and see
obligations incurred at both orgs?
A: Yes and both institutions don't need to be in the CommIT collab. In fact,
neither school needs to be there for this to work.

Q: How would the person find out that this service is offered then?
A: Could be through university or lending agency (or NSC/Meteor).

#4a Value of Common Access Control - This is an example of a consent
aggregator. A prospect might have a lot of organizations that he/she wants to
exchange information with, and it would be nice to have the user be the
center instead of the org doing stuff without their knowledge.

The group thought this is a very interesting idea. Ann will develop another
scenario of HE to HE to show how that might work. We'll discuss that next
time.
