AACRAO Tech 

Discussions at AACRAO Tech included the concept of “OnePass,” a third-party person registry and identity provider which would be related to the College Board and ACT. This has been discussed on previous InCommon-Student calls. National Student Clearinghouse has expressed an interest in operating the registry and identity provider. Because the testing services require a ticket (issued when a student registers) and a photo ID, they are identity proofing and could feed into the OnePass system. There is interest in AACRAO support for this, along with PESC and InCommon.

Remote Identity Proofing Survey – Article for AACRAO

The deadline for the AACRAO publication is August 5. Draft text is due to Dean Tuesday (July 26). He will put the parts together and distribute the draft to the list for comment.
