Remote Proofing Survey Article Discussion

• Karen has a rough draft that lays out the groundwork – it will become a couple of paragraphs on “why you should care.” This will precede the information from Ann/Brendan.
• There was discussion about levels of assurance – if anything there will be a mention with a list of resources for more information.
• Ann has a slide deck that demonstrates the business lifecycle from prospect to identity proofing/vetting. She will send these to the group.
• Brendan discussed his portion: definitions, specific information about why identity proofing is relevant, and a couple of workflows for in-person and remote proofing.

The survey data demonstrates a general lack of understanding about what “identity proofing” means. Few campuses seem to be actually doing identity proofing, even if they think they are.
