InCommon Federation Discussions About Online Student Services

I've invited Lori McNabb from the UT System and Mollie McGill from WICHE 
(Western Interstate Commission for HE - www.wiche.edu) to join our next InC 
Student call on April 16. Lori is the Assistant Director, Student and Faculty 
Services at the UT System and leading WICHE's Study Group on Academic 
Integrity and Student Authentication. Mollie is Associate Director of WICHE. 

Both are interested in the survey we're working on, since they develop 
practices for authn as well for schools serving students at a distance. I 
think it would be a great addition to have them share what they have done and 
talk further about how we can work together on this IdM practices survey.

BTW, Lori and Mark Scheible presented on Provisioning of Remote Users on the

Rodney and Ann, 



Thank you again for the opportunity to be part of the IAM Online webcast last 
month. As evident from her webcast presentation, Lori is very knowledgeable 
on this topic, and WCET is so fortunate to have her leading our Study Group 
on Academic Integrity and Student Authentication. 



The study group is developing its agenda that will include the collection and 
dissemination of resources that can be helpful to our institutions as well as 
the regional accreditors, such as promising institutional practices/policies 
in the areas of secure network access, proctoring, and identity verification 
technologies. Ann, you mentioned during the debriefing call that I2 will be 
conducting a survey and that you may want to involve WCET in some way. 
Rodney, as we think about developing resources/good practices on the secure 
login/pw requirement, is this a place where we could look to Educause for 
some advice? 



I’d be pleased to set up a phone call among the 4 of us if that would be 
useful.
