Survey on Remote Credentialing

Draft survey: https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/KBap

Ann posted the proposed survey on the wiki and the collaboration group reviewed and revised the survey during the call.

Introduction – probably dives too deep into the Section 495 HEOA material too soon. It was suggested to make this more general and that we’re actually one step prior to what Section 495 is all about. Perhaps distance education could be mentioned in passing or as an example, but not as the focus of the survey. It would be best to use the introduction to draw people into the survey.

Audience – the survey will likely be completed by both functional and IT people. It would be good to have both perspectives, but not have those folks work on it together on a campus.

Survey Questions – the group reviewed the questions and responses and did some editing during the call. The additional questions explore campus processes and the level of confidence people have in those processes and the stage at which identity proofing takes place.

---------------
Next Steps

The next step is to have people review the survey questions for whether they are appropriate for the audiences, if they are clear, and if the potential responses are complete. It was decided to focus on the responses, at this point, and make sure they are comprehensive, then review the questions.

(AI) By March 19, Mark M will take a pass through the survey and add/edit the list of responses for each question.

(AI) Ann will contact Karen and Keith at Wisconsin to ask them to do the same.

Next Call – Friday, March 19 , 2010 – 3 p.m. EST / 2 p.m. CST / Noon PST
