Version 5.5.0 of the InCommon Federation Manager has been released. In addition to bug fixes and cleanup, this version expands encryption signaling capability beyond only Internet2 SPs and to the wider federation.
This functionality allows a Site Administrator/Delegated Administrator to signal encryption method support when processing encrypted SAML assertions and messages. The options are: AES-128-CBC and AES-128-GCM.
Submitted metadata will include the AES-128-CBC selection by default unless otherwise manually deselected.
