Version 5.4.0 of the InCommon Federation Manager has been released. In addition to bug fixes and cleanup, this version introduces encryption signaling capability, limited initially to Internet2 SPs. This functionality allows a Site Administrator to declare specific encryption method(s) it supports when processing encrypted SAML assertions and messages. These include: AES-128-CBC and AES-128-GCM.
While the encryption signaling is limited to Internet2 SPs, in the coming weeks, this functionality will become available to the wider federation and will be accompanied by appropriate user resources.
No action is required at this time.
