Hello,

On Tuesday, August 8, InCommon operations will be making the following
changes:

1) We will fail over the production metadata distribution service from
the primary server in Ann Arbor to our new standby server in Los Angeles
for 24 hours. This change will take place about 3 p.m. US Eastern Time
on August 8. Please make sure your metadata clients can retrieve
metadata correctly after this change [1]. You may need to change
outbound firewall rules to allow metadata consumption from the new LA
host, IPv4 address 163.253.32.9. As a reminder, all metadata clients
should be configured to retrieve and verify InCommon Metadata at least
once every 24 hours [2]

2) We will be releasing version 2.1 of the InCommon Federation Manager.
This release will bring a revised look and feel to the application, and
address some accessibility issues with previous versions. This version
is an intermediate step needed to put some basic changes in place to
support future, more-refined Federation Manager workflows. Stay tuned
for upcoming releases which will refine the functionality and bring
streamlined workflows.  More info on the FM release is available at [3]
and our current roadmap is available at [4].
