Last Friday eduGAIN Operations altered the order of entities in the eduGAIN 
aggregate. As a result, our metadata import and signing process produced a 
40MB diff, which caused the scenario reported earlier.

Today eduGAIN Operations reverted to the previous entity order. This time our 
process ran correctly the first time (but after producing a 28MB diff). Diffs 
are not very useful in situations like this but the diff files are 
permanently recorded nonetheless:

This incident will be thoroughly investigated but no further action will be 
taken at this time.

Your deployments should not have been affected by the events of the last few

InCommon Operations signed and published three (3) metadata files today, at 
4:21 pm, 5:28 pm, and 6:16 pm ET. For reasons that are not yet entirely 
clear, the content of the first two files remained unchanged from yesterday. 
The third (and final) run of the metadata signing process produced an updated 
file that included all the necessary changes accumulated over the last 24 
hours, as well as fresh metadata imported from eduGAIN.

We are investigating the cause of this issue and will report back to this 
mailing list on Monday. In the meantime, if you experience any problems that 
are not explained by the above publishing timeline, please contact us at
