This is a reminder that the end of life for version 2 of the Shibboleth 
Identity Provider software is July 31, 2016. If you are running Shibboleth 
IdP V2 and have not yet made plans to upgrade, we urge you to do so now. 

After July 31, the Shibboleth IdP V2 software will no longer be supported, 
which means there will be no bug fixes. Most importantly, there will be no 
security upgrades or patches. For information about the latest version of the 
Shibboleth Identity Provider software, including links for downloading, 
installation, and configuration, please visit the Shibboleth web site:

read this document before proceeding with the upgrade:

The most important advice we can give is: Use current production metadata for 
testing purposes. Do not introduce a second entity descriptor (with a new 
entityID) into InCommon metadata, which by definition describes a completely 
new IdP. This will make it difficult to upgrade the IdP you already have.

InCommon is tracking the upgrade status of deployments throughout the 
Federation. To date, 113 of the 385 Shibboleth IdPs deployed in InCommon have 
upgraded.  Please let us know when we can add your IdP to our Shibboleth IdP
