Hi all –

 

Sorry about the additional cancellation, but there’s not much for the agenda at this point, as I’m getting the presentation ready for NASIG. The presentation will be an expanded version of the basic presentation. I’ll be working with Dean to have a simple page available with links to existing resources based on the current public page content.

 

If any of you will be at NASIG or ALA Midwinter, let me know. It would be great to get a chance to meet in person, if schedules allow.

 

Also, I’d appreciate it folks could post updates from their campuses (if there’s any change of status or technologies).

 

UCSD status: The campus rolled out a new version of the Cisco VPN software (including WebVPN) in anticipation of a week-long event that will result in a large number  of staff telecommuting. Post-event, central IT is looking to integrate Shibboleth authentication in the VPN (currently it uses AD), and we’ll likely be looking at creating the hybrid scenario using WebVPN rather than EZProxy. We have an EZproxy instance up and working with a number of resources, but are doing minimal testing on this with the recent focus on WebVPN. Integration work of Shibboleth and III is still in progress.
