Foster,
It may not be a problem for you. If you haven't run into a problem, then
chances are, it isn't.
For us at Duke, I worked with OCLC support to determine our OCLC-specific
entitlement string. It consists of 'urn:mace:oclc.org:' and a 9 digit
authorization number. Our IdP is now releasing this entitlement string to
OCLC. However, it turns out only a subset of the FirstSearch databases
for which we have contracts for our 'regular users' are covered under this
authorization. We have other authorizations that include other subsets of
the FirstSearch databases for which we have contracts for our 'regular
users'.
For instance, WorldCat and ABI_INFORM are covered under separate
authorizations, although they are available to the same portion of the
campus population. In order to implement with Shib under the current
configurations, we would need our IdP to release two different entitlement
values to OCLC in order that we allow access to both of these databases.
It doesn't make sense to me to have our identity provider release multiple
entitlement values for the same set of users for the same service
provider. And I am fairly certain that our identity provider wouldn't
agree to do this. So, I am trying to work with OCLC to somehow
consolidate into a single authorization that covers all of the databases
that we have contracts for our 'regular users'.
I am hopeful that you don't have the same challenge.

David,
I am not aware of the problems if multiple authorizations. At JHU, we have
separate proxy serves between Alumna and regular users.
JHU IdP/Shib admin added JHU specific OCLC entitlement string value.
Please let me know if the multiple authorizations should be dealt with
here, too.
Thanks
Foster

Thanks, Foster. Did you run into any problems with multiple
authorizations for OCLC? I hope not.
I set up FirstSearch for Duke a few weeks ago, only to find out that we
have multiple authos. And since the autho needs to be passed as an
eduPersonEntitlement attribute, it creates some real problems. I'm still
working with their support to see if we can come up with a plan for
consolidating into a single autho (since, on our end, all Ebsco databases
are treated the same).

David,
I have updated the wiki doc of registry of resource, added oclc
firstsearch databases specific parm/syntax, and example of ezproxy config
entry for it.
I got the information from OCLC tech support last Friday.
Best
