Sorry for the extended delay before this response...

I think the explanations are EXCELLENT.  Very well done.  I found myself 
disappointed when I reached the (currently) abrupt end of the text.  :)

I'm willing to take a stab at step 4 (and likely you'll see something 
pop up on the wiki soon).  I still feel like there's more I don't know 
than I do know, so I hope you and others will correct errors you see 
therein.
