I was wondering if it would be helpful to add a column in the Target Resources list to provide a URL to the resource website, possibly indicating if it is Shibboleth enabled?  This might help the group relate to the products referenced if they are not involved in the library community.  I can add the links I have fairly quickly.

 

I was also wondering about making the following changes to the list:

• ProQuest COS (Community of Science) is important but our Library people here say their use of Proquest-owned CSA Illumina (www.csa.com) is far greater and of more use.  It is Shib enabled.     I could add it???
• A major health database used by some libraries here is the Wolters Kluwer Health product (www.ovid.com)  Again Ovid is Shibbolized for users in the UK, France and Germany.   Should I add it?

 

I am biasing the list towards vendors who have already shown interest in Shibboleth in other countries.  While that would give us a “leg up” on engaging them, the question is whether the US university library leaders, who would benefit from this group’s work, would consider these products as priority ones.
