Mostly I agree – no need to duplicate.  However, I think we planned on targeting a priority list of vendors/services and were seeking input on those priorities.   We likely don’t want our priorities mixed up with the full vendor registry.  The Registry could become pretty long, given that Elsevier, for example, has 20 some products!

 

I added a column in the Target Resources to contemplate whether we want to fill in the Priority column.  We may want to sort-on-priority to determine which calls to make first.

 

BTW, the Registry is complicated by the fact that vendors have many products in various states of readiness.  The InCommon membership is associated with the Vendor (as I understand), not the individual products.  I didn’t get around to suggesting a different format for the table – something like an asterisk beside the vendors names of those who are InCommon members.

Maybe this is splitting hairs, but we should merge TargetResources into RegistryOfResources. I don't think we need two separate lists. Simply populate RegistryOfResources with the items in TargetResources. By virtue of the fact that they are listed in the RegistryOfResources makes them Target resources. Simpler to maintain one list than two.

 

I won't be able to make the call Friday (vacation).
