Hello Everyone,
Andy has made some great progress on the diagrams and I have a few notes
from last week on "how to create a use case" I for folks to think about
prior to tomorrow/Wednesday's meeting (at 4pm EDT).
Basic Steps for Creating a Use Case:
1) Choose a use case.
2) Brainstorm a potential scenario for the use case.
3) Write this scenario in an informal format known as a "bedtime story". (We
consider the bedtime story to be a semi-idealized event describing a users
experience from their perspective).
4) Translate the "bedtime story" into the actual use case which consists of
three parts:
a. one simple use case which is a condensed version of the bedtime story.
b. one UML diagrams
c. identify relevant case studies or request that someone record a case
study from their experience if it would apply. (note: case studies may be
related to one or more use cases)
5) Add special cases/exceptions to the basic use case, after consensus has
been reached and the use case is accepted.
Thanks everyone!
Sincerely;
Thomas.
