Hi Brad,
I believe those who contributed to the consultation and who you may want to email with  a pointer to the final draft PDF,  were

  • Andrew Cormack
  • Michael Gettes
  • Jim Basney
  • Scott Koranda
  • Pai?

Link is at top of the consultation page:

Thank you
Emily

Hi Mark,

I haven't received any other comments or suggestions. Hopefully, everyone has had a chance to review the document.

I'd prefer to push out the presentation to July. I don't have a lot of time in the next two days to prepare anything. I'll also want to know how much and what I should prepare? (for example, a couple of slides?)

Thanks,

Brad

Brad,

I haven't seen any additional comments other than Tom Barton's.  Is everyone comfortable with the document?  We talked about you (Brad) presenting the Recommendations/Proposal of the Attributes for Collaboration and Federation Working Group to the TAC at their June 21st meeting (that's Thursday at 1:00 PM EDT - in two days).  Will you be ready to do that, or should I reschedule?  (I think we wanted to have the recommendations go through the TAC and CTAB - Brett was going to forward the recommendations for comment - prior to presenting to InCommon Steering at their August meeting.)  Steering's August meeting is 8/6/2018, so you could present to TAC at the 7/19/2018 meeting if we need to push it out.

Thanks!
Mark

Good changes Tom. They really help tighten up the recommendations and our proposal.

If others haven't already, please take another look at the document. Let's wrap up any additional changes as soon as we can.

That's quick work, Brad! I made some suggested changes to a few Recommendation headings (not their order) to make them action-oriented, and one to address one of the consultation comments. Plus a few other minor editorial things.

I have retitled and reordered our recommendations:

  • Make R&S support a requirement in Baseline Expectations

  • InCommon should build a bigger tent

  • Add more researchers to Internet2 and InCommon governance bodies

  • Engage grant funding agencies

  • InCommon IdP as a service

  • InCommon needs to better support Service Providers

  • Improve R&S documentation for IdPs and SPs

  • Rebrand InCommon’s R&S efforts

  • InCommon should remove the legacy “InCommon-only” R&S Category

These changes were made in both the executive summary and body of report. In the executive summary, I also changed the wording around order and priority.

I incorporated the changes from the community suggestions and responded on the wiki page.

Finally, I added a couple of sentences obliquely referring to Globus' distancing itself from relying on  R&S because of lack of IdP participation at the end of the executive summary section.

Let me know if I've missed something or if there's language (i.e. titles) that we can further tighten up.
