Hi,

Brad, MarkS and I had a good call today.  Notes are here

I am attaching the PDF of the "final draft"  Attributes WG recommendations.  This updated PDF is also linked from the boxes at the top of these two wiki pages:

https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/ipiTBg

https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/uwqMBw

The plan is that

  • Brad will present the WG recommendations to TAC on July 19 and to Steering on Aug. 6.
  • Brett will share the recommendations with CTAB

Brad will also email those who contributed to the consultation thanking them for their input and pointing them to the Final Draft. https://spaces.internet2.edu/x/uwqMBw

I will plan to remove the Attributes WG calls from the calendar, up until the one in August following the Steering call.  I will leave that Aug. 16, 2018  call on the calendar in case there is some work to do following the Steering review.

Thanks very much to all.

- Emily

Thanks everyone for the additional feedback.

In addition, Pål wrote me back. While he missed the deadline for public comment, he wanted to add:

Within SWAMID we’ve found for different thins that drives a change, including attribute release.
  1. A killer service – a service or a set of services everyone wants (easier for a small country like Sweden)
  2. Legal requirements
  3. External requirements that people can understand the need for
  4. Nagging (works porly)

It looks like it might just be me and Mark on the call today. As he mentioned, that will be a good opportunity to discuss the upcoming presentations.

Brad

I re-read the doc found four minor corrections. Looking great! Thanks, Brad, for all your work.

Folks,

I will not make it and I am good with where we are.

I think it's fine as well, and I WILL be able to make the meeting.  Maybe we can discuss the presentations to the sponsoring committees.  I've set the presentation to TAC for the July 19th meeting.

Hi Brad, I won't be able to make the call either way. But it seems we're done, unless you'd like some input on your upcoming discussions with steering, ctab, or TAC.

All of the revisions we discussed at our last meeting as well as some additional edits from Tom have been made to our report.

Is everyone satisfied with the report? Would you like to meet tomorrow (or today, depending on when you're reading this)?
