Dear GEANT Data protection Code of Conduct stakeholders,

 

You receive this e-mail because you provided feedback in the second
public consultation of the GEANT CoCo in January-February (either in the
consultation spreadsheet or in the REFEDS mailing list thread “CoCo for
the planet, now!”). Thank you for your feedback!

 

The CoCo 2.0 project has now published

- its resolutions:

- a new draft of the CoCo with the resolutions adopted:

This time we are not announcing a formal public consultation. However,
if you can still see something that makes it impossible for you to
accept the CoCo, please bring it up now (before the 15^th of September)
by sending me e-mail. We will then proceed to submit the CoCo to the
data protection authorities.

 

Some key changes after the public consultation of January-February:

- refined the section on a Monitoring body

- refined the governing law and jurisdiction to better serve
international organisations

- added a new section on Attribute providers

- dropped the requirements on the IdP-side INFORM GUI because the CoCo
is for Service Providers

- separated the Service concept from the Service Provider Organisation
which may manage several Services

- simplified language when possible
