The InCommon Academy has a full summer lineup of training, collaboration, and CAMPs for IAM professionals. We’d love to have you join us!

BaseCAMP 2021

 

Looking to ramp-up your knowledge of Identity and Access Management fundamentals? Curious about higher education-developed solutions for IAM software? Interested in the InCommon Federation? Then BaseCAMP is the place to be this summer. Highlights of this annual event include:

• An introduction to the basics of identity and access management  —  whether you manage identities, make resources available to those from other organizations, or both.
• An introduction to the InCommon Federation, the U.S. identity federation serving education and research.
• An overview and demonstrations of the community-developed identity and access management suite, the InCommon Trusted Access Platform, and the role it can play in your IAM system.
• Experienced faculty who have been there, done that.

 

This event will span half-days during the week of July 12 - 16, 2021. Check out the full program and learn more about registration options.

Training Workshops

As dive into the summer, Shibboleth and Grouper software training workshops will be held in June. Our software training workshops are awesome since they are developed by community members and taught by software developers and community implementers.

 

• June 14 - 18, 2021 - Shibboleth
  Shibboleth provides single sign-on capabilities for local, distributed, and cloud services
• June 22 - 25, 2021 - Grouper (early bird rates expire this Friday!)
  Grouper offers management of institutional and personal groups, roles, and permissions for use by project managers, departments, institutions, and end users. Please note that there is ~8 hours or prework to complete during the week of June 14^th!

Collaborate your way to (Project) Success

Now that you’ve gotten some InCommon exposure, consider joining the Collaboration Success Program (CSP). The CSP provides an opportunity to join forces with peer organizations and community experts to prepare, prototype and put your IAM projects in motion.

 

A few of the program perks include: 

• Access to InCommon community gatherings
• Subscription bundle for software training
• IAM assessment and access to your own workbench
• Priority access to developers and experts, providing tailored recommendations for your projects

This program will kick off in September. If you’re interested in learning more about the CSP, please let us know before July 31, 2021.
