Shibboleth Installation Workshop Registrations Open |

InCommon’s Shibboleth Installation Workshops are two-day, directed self-paced workshops focused on hands-on installation of the Shibboleth identity provider and service provider
software. The sessions also include discussions on configuration and suggested practices for federation. Attendance is limited to 40 for each session. Registration is now open for:
Other 2017 sessions will be held at the University of Washington (dates yet to be determined), Lafayette College in late July (Easton, PA), and at the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland, Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

Consultation Open on Final Report of OIDC Survey Working Group |
|
The OIDC Survey Working Group conducted a community survey to determine the types of problems campuses are trying to solve using OpenID Connect and OAuth2. The working group has completed its analysis and has opened a community consultation on its final report.

InCommon Trust Model Document Subject of Consultation

InCommon has opened a consultation for comments and feedback on “Trusted Relationships for Access Management: The InCommon Model.” This new document provides a high-level introduction to the model
for trusted relationships within the InCommon Federation. The consultation is open through April 10. |
New Anchor Certificates to Streamline EV Cert Requests |
|
InCommon Certificate Service subscribers can now request an Anchor Certificate, which uses the same validation process as an Extended Validation (EV) certificate (sometimes called a “green bar” certificate). Subsequent EV cert requests will be filled without
needing another validation process. See the Cert Service wiki spacefor details. |
Cert Service Work Plan and Working Group Report |

The Certificate Service Review Working Group, chaired by Chris Bongaarts of the University of Minnesota, has issued its final report, recommending changes and updates to the service. The working group
report has led to the development of a 2017 work plan for implementing the changes and requested features. |
