IAM Online Features CIFER Software Suite

The next IAM Online webinar (Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 3 pm EST) will feature the CIFER project an agile, comprehensive, federation- and cloud-ready IAM solution suite delivered by and for the higher education community. This session will showcase how project campuses are addressing the challenges of IAM infrastructure and how CIFER. See the details and please plan to join us.

Federation Passes 1,200 Entity Mark

InCommon FederationInCommon has now registered 1,200 entities in Federation metadata. This represents a 20 percent growth rate since the beginning of 2012. As of November 7, InCommon participants have registered 271 identity providers and 927 service providers in the metadata. You can see the current lists of entities, as well as a chart showing the growth in number of entities over the life of InCommon.

Fischer Announces Two-Year Free Access to Cloud Shibboleth IdP

Fischer InternationalFischer International Identity, an InCommon Affiliate, has announced it will provide free access to its cloud-based Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP) federation solution for institutions with 5,000 or fewer users. Institutions will receive implementation and two years of Shibboleth IdP hosting with 24/7 management and support. InCommon Website Updated

InCommon has launched a redesign of its website to make it easier and quicker for visitors to find information about the various services. The last iteration of the website was created when federated identity management was InCommon's only service. Main changes include a new home page design with prominent buttons for each service area and a new interior page design with navigation specific to the service (federation, certificates, etc.).
