Subscriber Agreement Available for Duo Security Multifactor Offering
The subscriber agreement for the InCommon/Duo Security site license for phone-based two-factor authentication is available. The program is open to InCommon participants and Internet2 members receive a discount.
June 13 IAM Online Covers Multifactor Authentication
Interest in multifactor authentication, a.k.a. two-factor, continues to grow among some federal agencies and higher education. We'll discuss approaches to multifactor in our IAM Online, Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 3 pm EDT, as well as why one university plans to use multifactor to achieve InCommon Silver.
Revised Assurance Documents Approved; On to FICAM
InCommon's Assurance Advisory Council and the InCommon Steering Committee have approved changes to the v1.2 assurance documents with the primary goal of streamlining the process of qualifying for Bronze. InCommon will now send these documents to the US Government Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) program to continue InCommon's certification as a trust framework provider.
June 6 Call to Discuss Remote Identity Proofing and Silver
A group of campuses planning to achieve the Silver assurance profile have started a discussion about remote identity proofing and Silver. Anyone interested is invited to join the discussion. The next call is Wednesday, June 6. Call coordinates and background information are on the wiki.
Shibboleth Workshop July 16-17 at UMBC
Registration is open for the next InCommon Shibboleth Workshop, July 16 (IdP) and 17 (SP) on the campus of UMBC in Baltimore. These workshops provide technical installation and configuration experience with Shibboleth using a self-paced set of instructions.
